If you’re planning a trip to New York, you should consider a stay at a hotel with a rooftop bar. You can find rooftop lounges at some newer hotels that don’t require an overnight stay, but you should keep in mind that you may have to pay a cover charge. Hotel guests typically have priority access, though. In addition, popular rooftop bars may be closed for private events.
Le Bain & The Rooftop
Located on the top floor of The Standard, High Line in the Meatpacking District, Le Bain & The Rooftop is an elegant place to see the sun set and drink in the city sky. The rooftop bar has an outdoor lounge area with a pool and a DJ deck. The hotel has a limited door policy, and you must check your bags and coats at the front desk. If you are an overnight guest, make sure to call ahead to make sure you’ll be able to get in. The bar’s hours may change, so make sure to check the hotel’s website for any alterations.
During peak hours, Le Bain charges a cover of $10 to $30 per person. If you plan on spending more than that, you should make a reservation. The bar is open seven days a week during the summer. Guests can get a table without a reservation, but you may need to commit to a minimum spend.
La Piscine
The La Piscine hotel with rooftop bars in New York City is a chic and eclectic spot with a great ambiance. This Manhattan rooftop pool is close to the Hudson River and the High Line. You can relax on daybeds and sip specialty drinks while enjoying the view. It’s the perfect place to watch the sun go down in a chic and eclectic setting.
Located on the 18th floor of the James Hotel in Soho, this modern interpretation of a classic pub combines contemporary design and 70s-inspired decor. It features an art sculpture and a small pool. The views of Manhattan’s skyline from the rooftop are stunning.
Press Lounge at Ink 48
Ink48 Rooftop Bar is located on the rooftop of the Ink48 Hotel. From here, guests can experience 360-degree views of the city and Hudson River. It’s also a great place to unwind and catch up on all of the day’s events. This rooftop bar is open daily from 6 am to midnight.

This restaurant is located on the sixteenth floor of the Ink48 Hotel, and its views are truly stunning. The lounge has a transparent glass floor and wall, which opens out to the cityscape below. The glass walls are framed by large bi-fold glass doors, making the space a great combination of indoor and outdoor activity.
The Polynesian
The Polynesian Hotel has several rooftop bars that serve cocktails, drinks, and light bites. These bars are open from 4 p.m. until 2 a.m. Monday through Thursday. On Friday, they are open until 2 a.m., while the hours for Saturday and Sunday are noon to 2 a.m.
Located on the third floor of the Polynesian Hotel, The Polynesian at Pod 39 has a fun bar menu and an outdoor terrace. Guests can sip on drinks while taking in the views of Manhattan.
