NFL Games on Sunday
The NFL season is heating up, and the playoffs are just around the corner. With the playoffs starting on Monday, there are plenty of exciting games to be played on Sunday. The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Miami Dolphins on Sunday night, keeping the pressure on the top seeded Steelers. The Indianapolis Colts upset the Raiders and improved to 9-4 while the Las Vegas team slipped to 7-6. Among the upsets were the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ win over the Minnesota Vikings, and the Arizona Cardinals’ victory over the New York Giants.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are a team that is in the playoffs for the first time since 2007. Their quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is on his way out after a 42-21 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Roethlisberger is no longer a strong pocket passer, throwing short passes to his defense. The Steelers’ defense just couldn’t get a win against the Chiefs’ offense.
The Jaguars and Chargers games were wild. Both teams managed to shoot themselves in the foot late in the fourth quarter. Blake Bortles threw an interception with under two minutes left to play. The Jags had the ball back, but couldn’t convert the field goal. The Jaguars’ quarterback played himself out of field goal position and then got taunted by Marqise Lee after a pass interference flag was reversed.
