Having relevant certifications like CBAP or CCBA, or a master’s degree in business, IT, or management can also help to increase chances of advancement and increase pay. Building a portfolio of successful projects will showcase the skill set and experience, makes individual more desirable to the hiring managers.

  • Collaborating with IT and business teams to ensure that systems and technology are aligned with the organization’s business needs
  • Communicating and presenting the business architecture to stakeholders and leaders

  • Managing and leading business architecture teams
  • Working with other architects like solution architects and data architects to ensure all the different aspects of business aligns

A business architect typically has a strong understanding of business processes and systems, as well as a solid understanding of technology.
