Top 5 Electric Cars by 2022

If you’re wondering what will be the top electric cars by 2022, look no further than these models. From Hyundai’s Ioniq 6 to the Kia Niro EV, from the MG ZS to the Mercedes EQT, the EV future is well within reach. But which ones will be the best buys? Let’s find out! We’ll also take a look at what the future holds for all of these vehicles.

Hyundai Ioniq 6

The upcoming Hyundai Ioniq 6 electric car will feature a rear-wheel drive system and 18-inch wheels. It will be powered by a single electric motor producing 168 kW and 350 Nm of torque. This car will offer a range of 379 miles on a full charge. Its range-topping model will reach a range of 610 miles. The battery capacity will also vary, depending on the model configuration.

Kia Niro EV

The Kia Niro EV is an electric car aimed at the city, and its lineup includes features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a functional infotainment system. Drivers can also use their smartphones with the vehicle’s built-in Bluetooth and wireless charging system, and the car has an integrated blind-spot and rear cross-traffic alert system. A few more features are included in the higher trim levels, including heated front seats and a driver-attention system. However, the Niro EV isn’t going to be as popular as its electric counterpart, the Nissan Leaf.

MG ZS EV

MG ZS EV, the electric car of 2022, is the next big thing from the automaker. The company has just released a new look for its electric car. The new model is based on the same architecture as its predecessor, but will be offered in two trim levels, Essence and Lux. Essence will cost $3,000 more than base Excite. This is in line with the Extended Range of the BYD Atto 3.

Mercedes EQT

The Mercedes-Benz EQT is an electric minivan designed for busy people and young families. It will share its CMF-B architecture with the VW ID Buzz. This hybrid vehicle is expected to go into production by the end of 2022. However, its pricing is still unknown. The EQT will be available in both a five and seven-seat configuration. The EQT is expected to hit the market in early 2023.

Volvo XC90

The Volvo XC90 will be available with a plug-in hybrid system as an option. The Recharge plug-in hybrid is a high-performance model that can run on all-electric power for short commutes. It comes in two trim levels: Momentum and Inscription Expression. Momentum has a solid mix of features and offers a satisfying drive. The Recharge will cost approximately $36,000.

Lexus RZ

The Lexus RZ electric car is set to come with an extensive array of driver-assist technologies. The latest Lexus SUVs have been equipped with such systems as adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning. The RZ will also have automatic emergency braking and a system that monitors driver focus and alerts them to hazards. The system can even reverse and park itself, bringing it to a complete stop if necessary.

BMW i7

The i7 electric car, the sixth and most luxurious electric vehicle from BMW, will be on sale in the UK from December this year. It’s expected to be the company’s answer to the Porsche Taycan and Mercedes-Benz EQS. It’ll be part of BMW’s line-up for the eighth generation of its 7 Series luxury sedans, which will also feature petrol, plug-in hybrid, and diesel models.

Volkswagen ID.3

The ID.3’s interior is a smart mix of modernity, practicality, refinement, and onboard tech. Its movable digital instrument cluster and ample touches provide an air of modernity, while the cabin is quiet and spacious. Even with its compact size, the ID.3 has a smooth ride and feels solidly built. It’s also more expensive than most electric cars, so expect to spend more than $35,000 on the ID.

Maserati Grecale Folgore

The Maserati Grecale is a mid-size SUV that has just been launched. This EV will share the same exterior styling as its petrol-powered counterpart, with one exception – a redesigned trident logo. The grille is a striking feature, incorporating curved vertical slates, bronze badging and a furious font. The interior will feature the same technology as the petrol-powered Grecale, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen and Android Automotive-powered navigation.

Audi Q4 e-tron

The Audi Q4 e-tron is an impressive showcase for innovation and progressive design. Audi hopes to get as many electric cars on the market as the luxury brands do by the year 2022. In addition to the Q4 e-tron, Audi is also planning to launch the Q5 e-tron, which will be the fifth model in the company’s quest to create more electric cars.
